Why no shot recoil in fxi?

Just noticed that it is not present. Not that I urgently need it, but why was it removed?
I sometimes used the shot-recoil to exactly stop my ship (in practice). No need to swap to a lower power
setting then.

According to a log from 2007, recoil was restored. I have to check why it is gone again.

Apparently in the process of my cleanups I lost the assignment of mass to bullets, and the call to the recoil function. The fact that I haven't noticed anything goes to show I don't play enough. It is time to fix that. Thanks for perceptiveness, again!

It generally helps to have someone else verifying things.
For example I thought I had fixed the ugly own HUD-radar base being painted while appearing ages ago.
Only when I saw your recording from last year, I noticed it still being present. Apparently it was still
recorded when the HUD-wall-radar (and bases) where active. I didn't notice this, because I never use the
wall radar. I fixed it now (I hope) and you'll get it with the next patch.
