Re: Poor 2D performance with linux radeon driver
The SDL-client is fast with 3D acceleration enabled and relatively slow without 3D acceleration. NB: There seems to be no option in the sdl client to disable textures on items and shots. I dislike textures in xpilot, because they distract. And especially with higher scalefactor one cannot recognize ...

Re: Where did everybody go?
I've set it up now so that my computer plays a music signal when someone joins the server where I wait-float.
That's the best solution for me so far. The only problem remaining is that none of you cowards do join.
And of course there is no newbie help so that no newbie joins.

Poor 2D performance with linux radeon driver
I have unplayable 2D performance with the free radeon driver (xserver-xorg-video-radeon 6.14.4-8) on debian 7 wheezy linux (both on amd athlon64x2, Radeon HD 4350 and amd A8 with integrated radeon gfx) WITH driver option `NoAccel' = `False' (i.e. WITH 3D acceleration enabled). But if I disable 3D ac...

Re: `Newbie Academy' - a practice map mainly for Xpilot newb
The server wasn't up for very long. How about if you restart it? The map is not _that_ sophisticated ... could be improved here and there, but it is very useful to practice many things.

`Newbie Academy' - a practice map mainly for Xpilot newbies
A practice map. The player has access to all items and has 4 robots as practice targets. The robots are (most of the time) caught in gravity fields, so that one can easily test weapons and weapon modifiers on them. Initial fuel is low, so that the robots do not shoot. This also teaches what fuel is ...

Re: A new XPilot server
The server seems to behave normally, but walls should be set up for no fuel drain (was it `wallbouncedrain'?). I did not notice a difference in responsiveness compared to other servers on your machines. Nevertheless I prefer ng servers for high fps, nicer wallbounces etc. The ranking date is "l...

Re: Xpilot-mas quiz: How to setup remaining items on kill?
I tried any combinations of options that looked like they could be at least remotely connected with the problem, like dropItemOnKillProb, detonateItemOnKillProb, destroyItemInCollisionProb, movingItemProb, itemConcentratorProb and perhaps others ...

Cluster Debris' Grandprix IIa - Ideas
- Let bounces between ships drain a little fuel, perhaps 5 units. What was the relevant option??? Can't find it, neither in 4.5.4 nor in NG 4.7.2 server. -> at least in ng 4.7.3 server I found `playerCollisionFuelDrain', which should do the trick. - Set `allowPlayerBounces : Yes', so that players ca...

How to setup remaining items on kill? -> SOLVED
Which options are needed so that a ship drops (some of) its items when killed? I'd like to have this on my Tutti Frutti map, but did never succeed in setting it up. I did compare the Tutti Frutti options with a map which has the left over items feature, namely Ball Bana, but still could not find the...

`Ball Bana' - cleaned up version of this map
I've cleaned up this old map, so that it plays on a current Xpilot NG server like I think it did on an old server when it was created. Additionally there are some small modifications that should improve gameplay. Look in the map file for a complete change log. Edit: 2012-12-16: Fixed the map file. C...
