Configuring a build environment on Windows
In this thread, I will describe how I have configured the build environment for XPilot on Windows 7. Most of the steps should work on systems as old as Windows 2000, although it will have to be verified by somebody who is using those systems. I. Installing the basic runtime environment and the compi...

Re: Primary Bloodspilot-X11-Client development targets
Ok, I have almost succeeded in building the current CVS version of the NG distribution for Windows and Mac OS X. Still cannot get the Control Center to work fully. I will publish binaries for testing as soon as I have them. It would be also useful for other developers to get instructions on putting ...

Re: Primary Bloodspilot-X11-Client development targets
I fully agree with the first steps of this roadmap, i.e. newbie help and better in-client configuration. The third step is IMO figuring out how to build the package for multiple systems. Nobody has done that for a long time. I'm not sure about the merge yet, but backporting the innovations from BP X...

Re: Preparing a new client release
I haven't found a way to create a changelog that includes automatically a list of changed functions. But is that really necessary? I think we should rather list changes in overall functionality, e.g. different order of elements drawn on screen. If somebody is interested in details, he will do a git ...

Re: DNS for meta.xpilot.org not working
UPDATE: the problem doesn't seem to concern the domain itself, but how it is propagated throughout name servers. In some networks the domain is available and in some others not. We hope the situation will come back to normal soon.

Re: DNS for meta.xpilot.org not working
Quick and dirty fix if you are using a Unix-like OS and your client cannot connect to the meta server. Add this line at the bottom of your /etc/hosts:
Code: Select all
64.235.48.198 meta.xpilot.org meta2.xpilot.org

DNS for meta.xpilot.org not working
Since there seem to be some problems with the xpilot.org domain, I'm posting just in case the current list of XPilot servers: 4.7.2ng:pguhl.nine.ch:15345:0:Polygon Blood's Music v8.5:100x100:Blood, Samaseon and Throat:ok:10:50::yes:15623277:2:0:217.150.250.224:2=5,4=5:0 4.5.4:stealthboy.com:15347:0:...
